Merry Christmas!

Park Place RV Park

On Wednesday, Dec. 25th it was 7 when I opened my eyes for the first time. As soon as I realized the time, I understood just how good my sleep was. I stayed up late last night with my sweetie. We watched YouTube videos in the country genre. Johnny Cash Christmas specials from 1970 & 77, The Highwaymen, featuring two of my favourites, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson and then the celebration of Willie’s 70th party, 21 years ago. 😊

Good morning!
Santa came!
After 20 minutes, I can prove a
company wrong.
It is destructible!

It was a fun night of entertainment until after 11:30. Wow! That’s incredibly late for me, therefore not surprising that I slept solid right through. Gibbs was there to greet me, those dark eyes looking right into my sleepy ones. We lingered in bed until 7:30 when we joined Bill downstairs. I didn’t hear them get up at 6, not a peep. No wonder I didn’t hear Santa Claus sneaking around either!

I was able to surprise Bill with
a small wooden plane kit.
He can display this one in the Hangar back home.

Gibbs in his new coat. I should
have got the next size up!
He's still so handsome.

Bill made us our hot drinks and then we gave Gibbs his stocking first. It was just toys this year, some advertised as indestructible (hahahahaha), others just knock-offs from the $ stores. He loves them all and wastes no time at all getting into the fibrefill. 😊 They’re his toys so we just pick up the pieces and let him carry on.

We did well!

Now, in addition to Stuffy, Goober, MooCow, Monkey, and Rope, he has Hippo, Santa, Boomer and Stocking. Not spoiled at all. Speaking of Gibbs, thank you for your comments. I’m glad you all feel the same way we do about our little guy and his care. We couldn’t possibly love him any more than we already do.

Yay! My old magic bullet
was second hand, used every day
and the little nubs on the cups are breaking off.

I skipped my walk today but did take Gibbs out for his around 9:30. Priority was to make our family calls. So, in order, Marilynne (Bill’s step-mom), Bridgette & Chris (Taylor working, Jacob with his girlfriend) Patrick & grandson, Nate, Yvonne & Dennis & 4 grandsons, (Zach working), Charlotte & Cory & granddaughters, Chelsea & Olivia, then Jess & Matt & grands Easton & Hadley. Bill touched base with Krystal & Matt & Alexander before I got up. They had a busy day starting early.

Beautiful day although
windy and a bit cooler.

We called Bill’s sisters, my sister and then a couple of friends. The phone was busy. After opening our stockings and gifts, I began making my potluck vegetable dish, Cheesy Cauliflower Casserole. Our breakfast was late and meagre, just toast and jam with my b.p. coffee; we wouldn’t need more than that with a big meal today. When the casserole was in the oven, after showers, I tried taking Gibbs for a walk but he wanted no part of a walk. He piddled and came back in. Goof!

We were eating breakfast and
a Hummingbird visited our feeder.
So hard to get a good pix through a screen.

So, I went to the residential area on my own, just to get a few steps in today. When I returned, Bill was dressed so walked across to the clubhouse at 2:30 with our plates and dessert tray. We wanted to reserve the same round table we had at Thanksgiving. 😊 Bill has a bit of a cough from a head cold so this was the best seating to sit farther away from others.

I had a lovely walk around the
residential area while the casserole baked.

Oh my, this was delicious!
My new Christmas plates and platter came in handy today.

I had no casserole leftover but
half of the squares came back with us.

Jess and Jessie joined us and then Patty and Duncan. The food was plenty, no picture except what you see on my plate. I think I sampled most things because I love it all! Desserts were also delicious and we all had our fill of goodies AND conversation. We had quite the enjoyable time together. It was after 4 when we brought our leftovers home and parted ways. Another successful gathering.

Lovely picutres, if I do say so myself!
Look at those smiling faces. 💖💖💖

Merry Christmas! I hope you have all had a pleasant Christmas day and were able to connect with your families in whatever way you planned. We are blessed, with family and friends from far and near. We spent the evening being quiet and content.

Merry Christmas!
from our house to yours!
Good night!

Thank you for your visit!

    1. I'm going to donate my old one now that I have a brand new one. The bullet works great, it's a couple of the cups that are fussy.
      Merry Christmas!
