Park Place RV Park
On Sunday, Dec. 29th we were all mobile by 7, sorting clothes and headed over to the clubhouse to do our weekly laundry. All 3 machines were up and running again but we only needed to do 2 loads. I had already decided that after I loaded the dryers, so in 25 minutes, I would go for my walk.
Back at
the Suite, while Bill got ready to go flying (yes, feeling mucho better!), I
put my running shoes on and carried my windbreaker and vest over with me. Oh,
and my ear buds. 😊 It was a nice morning, beautiful
clear skies but a cool 39F/3C. I’m glad my hoody as I needed to put it up to
cover my ears on the north/south part of my walk. There wasn’t a lot of wind
but the air felt cool.
I went directly to the laundry room on my return and I had worked up a good heat by then. The sun had popped, of course, because it was after 8. I walked into the clubhouse and the heat in there hit me like a ton of bricks! Wow, I couldn’t get the layers off fast enough! Ha ha. Not excessive, just a total change from outdoors after a heated walk. My nose began running immediately.
Selfie time What a great time to walk! |
I folded
the clothes and carried everything back to the Suite, putting all but Bill’s
clothes etc. in their respective cupboards and drawers. Now, it was time for
breakfast! I felt famished so my Rice Krispies and tea went down great. I
messaged Patty next door to see how she was feeling and was sad to hear she is
still battling the cough and sneezing. It took Bill 5 days to see a turnaround,
even though a different kind.
This picture is out of order, but yes, the decorations are wrapped up for another year. |
Gibbs and
I went for his walk and then we relaxed outside with my book, in the sun, until
the boys returned around 10:30 (ish). Gibbs remained in the shade on the step,
knowing his Daddy would soon be back. ♥ We passed the time until noon and had our ham, cheese and lettuce
sandwiches. Bill had put the Christmas lights away yesterday so I tackled the
Suite, returning things to normal. I usually wait until New Years but it was
time and I wanted to dust in here.
I'm leaving the barnboard until last.
There seems to be so much that looks the same!
By then it was after 2 so I took my water over to the clubhouse. Puzzle time! It took a while to find a piece, seemed I sat looking for a long time before the first one dropped in. It went smoother after that and I worked away for a couple of hours, returning just before 4. I made my tea and took it and my next book outside to the gazebo. I finished Whispers by Belva Plain and started into a Louise Penny that Bette loaned me.
This picture looks the same as the sunrise
but it is approaching sunset, facing west
over a dusty horizon.
Even
though I got right into the story, the host behind us was on loud speaker with her son on the phone, so I
ended up coming inside and closing a window. One downfall of living in a park,
although that is the first we’ve had this issue. 😊 I’m sure she has no idea how loud she is. Hey, I’m married
to a loud talker too. We had steak, fried potatoes, mixed veggies, mushrooms
and shrimp for supper.
Gibbs chose to walk to Quail Trail St. this afternoon. I tell him he's a good boy, and he stops and looks at me.
Yes, I'm talking to you! 💗
It was quite tasty! I thought I’d offer up an
ice cream using the Signature Extreme Moose Tracks I bought at Safeway for
$1.97. Well, it would have been if I had been asked for my card……….she didn’t
and I forgot. Duh. Oh well, our first stray from Tillamook in a dogs age and because
it was chocolate……….’nuff said. It was delicious! 😊 We cleaned up after our meal and had a quiet evening
together.
We reached a lovely high of 73F/23C, with no complaints whatsoever about our weather. Nights are still dropping to 45F/7C or lower (in the next week) but it is fine for sleeping. Sometimes we turn the blue flame heater on, other times not. The house looks nice again, although I do enjoy the Christmas decorations during the season. Everything is packed neatly, in its place, under the bed and on a top shelf over the sofa.
I can almost see a doggie's profile in the ice cream. LOL Time to call it a night! Good night! |
Thank you
for the visit!
Colder in Q than here this morning. But only for awhile. Glad Bill is much better.
ReplyDeleteEarly mornings are cool, but you know that. :)
DeleteThanks Doug, Bill is getting better by the day.
I bet it was the ice cream that made Bill feel better! LOL. Your suite always looks so inviting!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, maybe it was!!
DeleteI'd put off the barn board too..that is one tough puzzle, but I've no doubt you'll finish it soon.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
Thank you Maebeme.
DeleteWe will be heading into the deep freeze here by the end of the week. The barn board in that puzzle looks very difficult.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm sure, sorry about that cold weather.
DeleteI perservered on Monday!
Dinner and the ice cream cone look amazing! I've left my Christmas up longer than I usually do, just can't quite say good bye yet. Probably Friday.
