Park Place RV Park (picture overload)
On Thursday, Dec. 12th I crawled out of bed just before 7. Leaving the house at 7:15 for my walk, had me skimming back into the park just as the sun was ready to pop. I waited for it just at the corner before returning home. I made my tea and had a banana for breakfast.
Good morning!
At 8:30,
I took Gibbs for his walk. He was going to be in charge of the Suite today and
Bette was going to be checking on him to make he was doing his job. Teehee, and
making sure he got the breaks he needed. 😊 The 4 of us left home at 9 and Bill drove to Lake Havasu
City. Just another day trip to a place for Duncan and Patty to see.Bette put the sale sign out
I love the drive to Lake Havasu City. The views are beautiful! |
We
arrived at 11 and parked in the lot near the London Bridge. We bought tickets
for the ferry, Havasu Landing, and walked along the Bridgewater Channel. We
walked all the way to the Rotary Community Park and back on time to catch the
ferry at 12 noon. By then, I was hungry. The ferry took us all across from
Arizona to California, to the Havasu Landing Resort & Casino.
A little floating Cantina
I'd love one at the Ridge. A plump Mallard sleeps on the dock The bridge, Superman's booth,
Duncan and Bill walk through the
arches. At night they would be all lit up,
the arches, not the boys.
We had
lunch at the restaurant in the casino and it was very good. Lots of it too.
Patty and I walked out with doggy bags. 😊 We all played a bit on the penny machines, lost our $20 and
caught the ferry back. Bill drove us down Bridges Road to the end of L.H.
before turning back to Mesquite Ave.
I enjoyed this leisurely walk.
A couple stopped us and asked how much I wanted
for my jacket. His wife wanted it.
I priced it high, I love it too much and I get many
compliments! How comical though! My Google app named this
Eucalyptus tree for us.
It's got such a smooth trunk.A water fountain and our ferry arrives.
The ferry ride and a walk to the beach
where I found a few tiny shells.
The middle picture shows our ferry returning to get us.
$5 for a round trip, still is a great deal.
My carb-loaded lunch.
No complaints, it was delicious
and half of it came home.
A quick
stop at Harbor Freight for the guys and a pop into Dollar Tree and Safeway for Patty
and I got us what we needed. I got a great deal on heavy whipping cream at
Safeway that can’t be beat anywhere. It was on sale for $3.99. I messaged Bette
at 4 that we were just leaving Havasu and she reported that Gibbs was quite
fine. Walking with her and her doggies, Della and Annie, and sitting in the sun
with her.
The seasoned sailors enjoyed the day. 😍
The
little bum is getting spoiled by everyone who dog-sits him! I felt bad leaving
him again for the day but with Bette being so kind, I feel so much better. I hope
we can return the favour, yet again. ♥ We were home shortly after 5 and the boys drove over to the field to
watch any night flying but were home within half hour. I watched the latest
episode of Matlock and FBI while writing my blog, which didn't get finished until Friday morning.
In the Safeway lot, I had to snap this picture.
Cute!
The group America would be proud.
I took way too many pictures so have weeded through them and you get to see my choices. It has been a great day showing our friends something new and different.
A picture of the pending sunset
through a dirty truck window.
It was a bit cool today, unless you were sheltered and in the sun,
but we’ll take the 66F/18C over what they are getting back home. More snow and 6.5F/-14C.
Brrr. We won’t need supper tonight but maybe a snack until morning.
You tell me, was Gibbs looked after? 💖
He went for a couple of walks with Bette
and her dogs. Annie and Della.
It is like Gibbs is saying, 'let's go this way!'
Good night!
Thank you
for popping by.
Again, it's nice to be able to show Duncan and Patty, sights that are worth visiting. Surprised that you were so close and didn't take in the Dessert Bar. Just remembered that it's only open on the weekends.
ReplyDeleteGibbs is comfortable being with individuals where he gets personal attention and playtime with other dogs. Don't think he'd do well in a Kennel.
Be Safe and Enjoy the warmer weather.
It's about time.
Another fun day!
