Got My Money’s Worth!

Park Place RV Park

On Saturday, Dec. 21st I heard and saw Bill and Gibbs at 5:30. What I actually saw was Gibbs crawling over to lay across Bill’s chest and heard Bill saying ‘it’s not time, go back to sleep’. The little bum didn’t move but fell back asleep right where he landed. I wished I had gotten a picture of that!

Good morning!
This picture is last night.
Our hot fluffy pooch goes up with Daddy on
the bed to watch a movie.
When he gets too hot, this is where we find him.

When I headed out for my walk,
and when I returned home, these were my views

They got up at 6 and I got up almost an hour later after my morning puppy dog kisses. I, once again, waited until about 7:20 before I headed out. It is the first day of winter so the shortest day of the year and it was still quite dark outside. 😊 You know I don’t like the dark! It was a lovely walk, following the same route as usual and was back home in time to see the sun pop up over the mountains.

It was quite a lovely morning

Bill was packing up when I got home

Bill and Duncan left almost immediately after my return and then after my tea, Gibbs and I did his usual walk. I had a plan this morning and I’m proud that I followed through with it. Yesterday I skipped a bike ride because it was quite warm in the afternoon. I still use a lot of muscle when I ride it, not quite used to the continued pedaling. I’ll get there but I’m quite pooped so didn’t need heat as well.

A couple pictures of Gibbs
pre-groom

I left Gibbs in charge, strapped my backpack/purse on over my head and rode up to the Family Dollar. 😊 It seemed easy going. I needed butterscotch chipits for a recipe I’m making for the potluck but they only had white or chocolate. Hmm, I walked across the parking lot to Coyote Fresh and found what I needed. Yay! My sweet little ride was locked up to a ‘handicap parking only’ sign waiting for me.

There she is!
I had to secure the basket with better bungee cords
so it is very secure now!

When Bill and I were out, we stopped
at the bank for some cash.
This pretty Bougainvilla is just starting but
it is loaded with flowers.

By the time I was half way home, I was winded so stopped for a breather. LOL I do believe Coyote Rd. is on a bit of an incline. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! Bill and Gibbs were outside when I got home and I told him that my bike just paid for itself. Being able to ride up to the store like that, it's so nice. We sat together in the gazebo until 11:10 when we all hopped in Black Beauty for a drive to Gibbs’ groomers. He had his ‘spa’ treatment at 11:30.

Voila!

We dropped him at Animal House and tooted over to Moon Mountain Mail to pick up a parcel for Bill. I’m expecting a couple of things too but they haven’t been delivered yet. We took a drive to the Surplus store where I picked up 3 Janet Evanovich books (woops! A Christmas gift). Back home on time for lunch, the Suite felt odd without the little mutt under our feet. Crazy how you miss them!

In the front corner of the park
these residents decorated.
Do you think they are hockey fans?

In case you didn't believe me.
This is Miss Kitty (not sure of her name), Bette's
cat.
She goes through the opening to her cage
which is how I thought she may have got out.
Silly me!

After lunch, Bill set up his pre-Christmas gift pieces for staining (he can write about it) and I set my chair up to sit in the sun and read. I wasn’t there 15 minutes when Jennifer called that Gibbs was ready. 😊 The little boy was happy to see us and he was as handsome as could be, all ready for Christmas with a new neck scarf. I’m sure it feels so much nicer for him!

Another great burger.

I went to the puzzle once we got home and managed to finish it before 4. We met at Duncan and Patty’s for Happy Hour, but today my tea was my drink of choice. That makes me happy too. At 5:15, I took Gibbs for his walk and Bill began grilling burgers for supper. They were delicious, as usual.

This has been a lovely day again, a great way to welcome winter in my eyes! We reached 74F/24C today with clear skies. FYI - Lorne and Sue: I watched the finale of Survivor and it was one of the best tribal council endings I've seen. I'm pleased with the result, my choice too!

Of course I can't forget our little
handsome poser. πŸ’“πŸ’ŸπŸ’•
All ready for Santa.

Thank you for popping around to see what we’ve been up to.

  2. My girl went to the puppy spa today too. She had her pedicure and got rid of all her loose hair. She smelled so purdy and looks sweet with her Christmas bandana.
