Yard Sale Day, Christmas Light Parade

Park Place RV Park

On Saturday, Dec. 14th, I was up before 7 and out the door by 7:20. Part way around the big block, I cut across Las Palomas to E. Coyote St. and then across once more to Sunset St. This was a shortcut to get me to the Family Dollar quicker. Yard sales in our park start at 8 am and I did have a few things to put out at our site.

Good morning!

Basically, I wanted to get small bills for $20 so I could make change if necessary at our sale. I bought a couple of things at Coyote Fresh when F.D. wasn’t open yet. I didn’t really expect to sell anything so even getting rid of a curling iron was a bonus. 😊 Patty and I sat out and manned the tables while the boys went flying until about 10:30.

The puzzle is coming along

I took Gibbs for a short walk, and we perused another sales table and then after Bill was home, I walked to Arizona Sun Village alone to check out their sales. I found a couple of things, spending $4, and returned home to have lunch with Bill. At 1, when the ‘official’ sales were over, I brought in priced items and marked everything else as FREE.

Happy Hour under cloudy skies

I walked to the puzzle table for a couple of hours and made quite a bit of progress. I do love them. We had Happy Hour at Patty and Duncan’s site for just over an hour and came home to make supper. Another simple meal, grilled cheese sandwiches, so we could be finished by 5:30 or so. Tonight is the Quartzsite Christmas Light Parade and we were all going.

Supper was delicious

It was pretty much on time, starting at 7 pm

It’s just down the street so we drove down around 6:15. It’s been a cool day for the most part, with lightly clouded skies until after 2. We reached 67F/17C this afternoon and by the time the parade was over, a pleasant enough 54F/11C. It was at least 30 minutes worth of Merry Christmases, laughter, ooh’s and aah’s and LIGHTS! We came home with pockets full of candy. Remember, there is still a child in all of us.

My pictures are terrible but that's Santa, bottom right.

We enjoyed it very much. Back home by 7:45, we relaxed for the evening in front of the tv, watching a Christmas movie. This was a nice day here in Quartzsite.

On a full moon evening,
We wish you a good night!

Thank you for stopping by.
