Park Place RV Park
On Sunday, Dec. 8th things followed our normal wash day routing. I was up before 7, clothes were sorted into two loads and we had them in the machines by 7:15. Lickety-split, the way I like ‘chores’ to happen. 😊 Bill and Duncan left for the field after I returned from switching the clothes into the dryers. Usually, that is my opportunity to walk but it is quite chilly this morning (43F/6C) and I had already made my tea. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!
Good morning!\
I never tire of this view
After
they were dry, I folded them around 9, when the ladies were just opening up the
office and clubhouse. One job done. I took Gibbs for his walk and texted Patty
about joining me for the ‘big block’ walk when we returned. We were both in
shorts and short sleeves by then and it was gorgeous! Mind you, the thermometer
was only reading around 56F/12C but this Arizona sun is hot! We love it! ♥
I've shown you these ant hills before but
this one was huge!
3 pics of the same hill.
Bottom right, those brown squiggles are ants.
When we
returned, I began making my bread rolls for supper tonight. My contribution. I
decided to make a double batch as 12 among us didn’t seem like it was going to
be enough. Plus, any leftovers will surely get eaten! 😊 At lunch time, Bill and I had our sandwiches and I’m happy
to report that the Sola keto bread is wonderful! I just hope Walmart continues
to stock it.
Patty and I followed the stone pathway
to the Great Tree.
1,010 years old.
(with a bench under it for resting)
With the rolls set under my best light source, I walked over to the puzzle and within 30 minutes it was done. I know it challenged me and took me longer than usual but I really did enjoy it. The pieces are large and thick enough not to drive me crazy. That is important. I’m not sure if I will start another before Christmas, but perhaps an easy one (hahahaha) so it can be finished by our potluck.
This Pileated Woodpecker was not
happy that we disturbed his resting (or drilling) tree.
The rolls
were slow in rising it seems so it is a good thing we had until 4:30/5 pm
before they had to be done. Ken and Kim arrived for our ‘pre-dinner’Happy Hour
at 3. Around 4:30 I took Gibbs for his walk around the park, bringing my step
count up.
The puzzle is done with no missing pieces.
YAY!
In
between taking things to the clubhouse and in and out of our rv’s preparing, we
enjoyed each other’s company until 5:15 when we walked over to eat. We had a
great meal and a great time together, lots of chatter and lots of laughs. 😊 It was a fun idea and we’re already
planning another in January when more friends are here.
I had many rolls left over, so half
of them went into the freezer. Perfect! It was a really nice day ending in a
wonderful evening. We reached a high of 71F/22C this afternoon. We had a quiet
evening together.
Our table set for 6.
Dig in!A great group of friends
over a great meal.
The lights along the entrance to the
clubhouse are pretty.
Pretend they are not blurred, please.
Good night!
Thank you for your visit. As I close, like everyone else, we are keeping Kelly and Al from The Bayfield Bunch in our prayers.
It was a great happy hour and dinner… we enjoyed spending it with good friends!
