Park Place RV Park
On Sunday, Dec. 15th we are 10 ten days before the big day. I hope y’all are near ready! π We are, not being ones to buy much for each other. Gibbs is who gets spoiled. ♥ I was up and getting washed when Bill came up and started sorting our dirty laundry.
Good morning! The moon starts the day like this
We were
loading two machines within 20 minutes. No one is doing their laundry at that
hour so hoping for an available machine is never a concern for us. Bill and
Duncan left for the field around 8, after he showered and after I transferred
clothes to the dryers. Today, I also washed the heavy bath mat and duvet cover
so when they were done, I hung them on the line behind the clubhouse.
Now this, my friends, is my favourite
picture of the day.
I should frame it!
When
everything was dry and folded, I brought it back and Patty and I went for the
walk around the big block. I miss out on my normal routine on laundry day so
this way, I still got those steps in. Gibbs and I then went for our walk around
the park together. π The boys returned just as I was
making my b.p. coffee to head over to the puzzle. Today was THE day!
And it is finished. I loved this one.
While I
was gone, Duncan came over to help Bill set up our ‘new to us’ security cameras
purchased at the yard sale. Their sale. π At 11:50, I messaged Bill that I would be home for lunch
after I placed the last 15 pieces. Yup, got ‘er done! It was a fun one and more
on the easier scale of the ones I’ve done so far.
Enjoying my book, in the sun
in the gazebo out of the wind.
After a
poached egg on toast, I thought I would paint some rocks, but after getting
things set up on the table in the gazebo, that wind was too chilly so I came
back inside. I sorted through the yarn colours I bought at the Desert Camel
craft store, putting them into bundles and then around 2:30 I went back out to
the gazebo. I turned my gravity chair to face the sun and read a few chapters
of my book.
Gibbs was a good little boy at Happy Hour
Yes, he has his collar on but it isn't always successful. π
Duncan
and Patty joined us for Happy Hour around 4 and at 5:30, after great
discussions about ‘days of old’. Do you remember ever having a wiener cooker in
your home in the 70’s? π (it had prongs that held the weenies
on). Anyway, that was just one of the memories we tossed around. I walked over
to Bette’s trailer and checked on Kitty (not sure if that is her real name).
This was a great hot dog!
I added the second wiener on top.
Bridgette
and Chris will laugh at me cat-sitting, I’m sure. Bette is away for a couple of
days, nights so I am making sure the little critter is fed and watered in her
absence. ♥ She greeted me with indifference,
staying out of my way and was fine as long as I didn’t touch her. She’s good
for the night. We had barbecued dogs and burgers (well, 2 dogs and 1 burger)
for supper. It is has been a while since I’ve had a double hot dog and it was
yummy with melted cheese in the bun.

After
cleanup, I watched the end of a Christmas movie (not Hallmark) while writing my
blog. This has been a great day, although quiet. We reached 71F/22C today but
dropping to a cool 39F/4C overnight. Things will be warming up over the coming
days, reaching more pleasant temperatures by Christmas. Yay!
The full moon tonight was lovely.
Bill took these pictures for me.Pictures never do it justice. The full moon closes out the day for us.
Good night!
Thank you
for visiting.
That is a great picture.
ReplyDeleteWe were in Quartzsite once for their Christmas Light Parade. We thought they did a good job and enjoyed it. Ten days till Christmas it doesn't seem possible the year flew by so quickly. Hugs
Miss being down there
