Quail Ridge RV Park
On Wednesday, Apr. 5th there was something in the air. Bill and I called it ‘HOPE’. We were up by 7 and with no plans to go anywhere today, we dedicated it to a peaceful day together as a family. Even our hopeful prayers were silent. 😊 Gibbs and I walked and even though it was bitterly cold, 30F/-1C, the winds had dropped considerably from the last two days. That made it a nice walk around this west end of the park.
Good morning!
Our hopes are high today!
We had
our tea, cereal and delved into our books. Our neighbours, Don and Diane, were
packing up for their route home to New Hampshire. They were in no rush so we
wished them well and visa versa. Their wishes to us had a lot of ‘Good luck!’
thrown in. I walked up to the clubhouse to drop off two of our James Patterson
books and came home with 2 J. A. Jance books and 1 book for me. The Friday
Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs sounds fun.
We've had some truly beautiful skies
this week
We waited
until after 1 before trying to get in touch with Ford and did hear back just before
2:30 that the truck went in the shop last night before closing. Deb and Riley
had gone into town and also reported that it was not in the lot anymore. 😊 All good news. Around 3:30 as we were readying to go to
Happy Hour, an outside one today because it’s a lovely afternoon, Bill got the
call that our truck would be ready either late Thursday or early Friday
morning. Yay!
Last one this spring with this group And one with me
Bittersweet to say goodbye
That’s
all we wanted, to have it done this week at a reasonable cost, so we could
continue our travels in appropriate time. All we can do is to continue our
prayers, hopes and wishes. Earlier, I had mapped out what Bill thinks will be our route with the changes. It helps me to have a better idea as I'm terrible at that stuff. Happy Hour was nice, sitting at the front of the
Stinger B in the sun. Layers were removed the warmer I got sitting there. We hugged
Riley and Deb goodbye around 5:30 as they head out early tomorrow and returned
home to Gibbs.
Walking back from Happy Hour
A lovely sky
I took him for his afternoon walk and then fried us up some yummy cheeseburgers. No bacon tonight. It was messy doing them on the stove but we didn’t get Weber out when we arrived, not expecting to stay this long. They were delicious.
These were delicious! |
Bill
cleaned up the pan and the spattered stove and I sat for my blog. The Pink Moon
was beautiful but I was too lazy to walk over to that side of the park to get a
better picture.
A few shots from inside the Suite
of the Pink Moon
It was huge!
A great
day with some good news. Bill also had some good news of his own when he heard
that his last parcel, his plane from North Carolina, has been shipped. Another
Yay! 😊
Then it quickly disappeared behind the clouds
Good night!
Thank you for visiting.
So happy for you and Bill that things went the way they did with the truck. It has been fun spending Happy Hours together yet we will keep our fingers crossed that you are on your way by Friday.
ReplyDeleteIt has be fun spending more time with everyone. Thank you for the good wishes and support.
DeleteGreat news Patsy and Bill!!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you.
Thank you Loree.
DeleteGood to hear about the truck. Not sure of the cost but I had a similar experience though it was a bad load of diesel fuel. My dealer suggested I call the insurance company. If you have comprehensive it might be covered. Mine was they paid all but $100 of a $16K bill.
ReplyDeleteYour comment was more supportive than you know. Thank you so much. Glad it worked out for you too. There is such a thing as 'accidental fuel contamination' in the insurance policy which we'd never heard about and that was a relief to learn in case we had to go that way.
DeleteThat is good news, I’m sending positive vibes that it all works out 😊
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYAY YAY YAY!!!! I'm so glad the truck is getting fixed and you'll be on your way.
ReplyDeleteThey've put the push on and are doing the basic flush so we can be on our way safely.
DeleteThank goodness! I'm glad to hear that you'll soon be able to be on your way.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that soon you will be heading north. Keeping my fingers crossed that the fix is not too costly.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Glad to hear the news has improved! Safe travels.
