On Tuesday, Mar. 20th,
officially Spring, I woke up from a dream, this one about my daughter,
Bridgette and son, Patrick. So vivid! Yesterday, I woke up from a dream about
Mom and my Uncle Don, who passed at least 8 years ago. Nice dreams though which
is always a treat!
I was surprised to get this much this morning and then the clouds closed up again |
Nothing exciting on the walk today so
after doing my mile, I returned to a still quiet Suite. As I began making my
tea, Bill also rose to greet the day. We drank, read and ate our grapefruit
together as per usual and at 9:30 I made bacon and eggs for breakfast. Ron and
Freddy were out for some morning exercise and stopped by to make some plans for
tomorrow. We are enjoying the time we can spend with them.
Looks like the wind got the best of this canopy |
The heron is sitting on the log, taunting me But at least I caught him |
I went on Facebook as instructed and
posted a picture that I found it and where. Now that the children have left
this area, I want to place it here in this park in the hopes that someone finds
it and continues to help it travel the country. I love stuff like this, that is
probably the kid in me, something I am not opposed to admitting.
So, this is what I posted on Facebook |
Loree dropped over at one point and
gave me a business card for a hair salon in town. They got their hair cut today
and the price is right. So, I’m going to call in the morning to get an
appointment. Ron popped in even later still and brought us a book that I think
I for sure am going to enjoy. Billy Bathgate by E.L. Doctorow. It will be a
change of pace. We firmed up plans for tomorrow’s dinner and said goodnight.
Mobile Suite Estates next door They're from Stillwater, Oklahoma |
Today, I’ve boiled a rack of pork
ribs and with mashed potatoes, broccoli and corn, that will be a traditional
supper saying goodbye to WINTER. Something my sister back home would have, except
she wouldn’t likely be bbq’ing.
Supper was delicious, each time we do ribs they
seem to taste better and better. We cleaned up dishes and I changed my mind about a walk. Brrr.
and supper was perfect |
Wouldn’t you know it, at 6 o’clock,
the sun made its first appearance of the day. Instead of griping about it I looked
for the silver lining and waited for the sunset in the clouds, of which I was
sure would be pretty. I hadn’t been out yet to ‘hide’ my stone so I decided to
wait. I think there is another ‘spring break’ happening as our neighbours have
3 grandchildren and the Bounder that just came in also has at least one child
running around.
Goodnight all |
Thank you for stopping by today! I love to hear from you and will respond to every post in time.
Finding those rocks is fun. Also fun to paint and hide your own. Dinner looked yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I plan on painting some this summer to bring next year. :)
DeleteHope your not close to the bad weather I saw on the national news tonight . That rock was a nice thing to run across . I could see a person adding about 500 pounds to the camper taking rocks all across the country . Vern in Boise
ReplyDeleteSo far so good with the bad weather. We'll keep an eye on it for sure when we leave here.
Deletethe rock was a treat but I'll be sure to only carry a few with me at a time! :)
What a fun idea is the RVing Rock! It will be so cool to follow its travels, kinda like Flat Stanley!
ReplyDeleteWe seem to enjoy the same authors...have you read any of Jonathan Kellerman’s books? He is probably my favorite author.
Love the sunset pictures!
Peggy in Buckeye, AZ
I love the RVing Rock idea too!
DeleteSomeone has suggested Jonathan Kellerman, maybe it was you! I have his name to look for his books. Thank you!
take care, thx for the note.

ReplyDeleteSorry about the deletion. My word automation didn't say what I intended. Need to review better.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I think it's neat you found an RVing rock. Hope it makes it to its destination.
Your sunset looks great. You did the same thing I did. Kept seeing and adding. Except I published three times. Each of the last two to add sunset pictures.
I think the warm weather I had today is heading your way.
no worries, I thought you were maybe swearing at me! haha
DeleteI was tickled to find the rock too and now I'll hide it for someone else.
Crazy, beautiful what the sun does when I think I'm done posting. I kept letting the cold air in the Suite!
Good! I know at least we'll above 70 for a week or so. yay!
What a cute find; the whole idea of the RVing Rock is a fun idea. I am guessing seeing a post of someone who found the rock you hid would be the best part.
ReplyDeleteGreat sunset pictures. I just giggled because I hear myself saying the same thing to Tom...that is it I am done opening and closing the door I have enough pictures...then the color changes and I a stepping out one last time...LOL
Take care.
I knew you would like the rock idea too. You love collecting special rocks too.
Deletethat would be cool if someone posts that they found it!
Too funny it seems we all do the same thing with the sunset. I'm sure Tom is like Bill and just smiles "yah right".
Too bad about the weather bering cool there but at least no big storms yet, Glad you having fun with Ron and Loree nd enjoy the rest of your time there.
ReplyDeleteSo far, just a couple of really cool days and now a warm up starting today. We really enjoy the company of these two. Ron is a card.
DeleteHe sure is get him to play a turn for you on his accordion.
DeleteLooks like you two are really enjoying! Love the rock idea, that's adorable! Dinner looks awesome and so does the sunset!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to sit still for a couple of weeks here and there. Good for the bones to relax too. It should warm up now for our last week here. Yay!
DeleteLove the rock idea too!

ReplyDeleteWe have had lots of sunshine the past 2 weeks. Our solar panels on the roof are soaking up the kwh's which means a nice pay cheque for us at months end. The daytime highs hover around the 0-+4 which is a nice prelude to the warmer Temps to come. The "hide-a-rock" is a really cool, fun thing to do. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat's good to hear! I hope you don't get the storm that is hovering over the east coast, sis!
DeleteI knew you'd enjoy the rock thing. :)
One day a week there is a get-together for arts and crafts in the community room in our park. Painting a few rocks would be a neat thing to do there. I should check out "Hobby Lobby" to see what they carry on paints. We found a neat painted rock in the park here in Foley, Al. that was meant to be found by visitors and I took it as a souvenir. Our grandkids have been painting rocks all along but we never thought of hiding them for others to find. Neat idea.
ReplyDeleteThe food on your dinner plate looked very good and I bet the ribs were delicious.
Last winter at Imperial Dam blm I painted 3 rocks, one with each of our names and hid them under a bush near our site. That was before I found this. I wonder if they are still there. Bill got eaten by mosquitoes so has no desire to go back. I may never know! :)
DeleteWhat a neat idea with the rock. How interesting to see where it will travel.
ReplyDeleteWe'll take that sunshine no matter what time of day it pops out, nothing says a great day like the sun. The leaves and blossoms are everywhere the further east we travel. Spring is definitely in the air, you can smell it. Hopefully it's also spring like back in Ontario soon.
Enjoy your time with your friends.
