Easy Going Last Day, Pack up, Goodbye Dinner

Picacho Peak RV Resort, AZ

On Monday, Dec. 6th we acknowledge that it is our last day here in the park. We aren’t go-go-go rv’ers especially day after day. That being said, we knew we’d just sit tight and start putting things away. I debated going to the pool after lunch but ixnayed that early on. It would have been nice, I’m sure. Gibbs and I slipped out of bed at 7 and walked to the dog park. No doggie friends today but we had fun by ourselves for about 20 minutes.

At the dog park, this white oleander
was just beginning to flower

Back home, my tea went down nicely and Bill was just up, washed and making the bed. I went to the puzzle room for an hour and a half and Bill put things away in my absence. I made great progress today! The border has been redone and this time it is right.

This is cool at a corner of the park

Gibbs supervised Bill in the packing up process; I mean watched him. 😊 It was 11:30 when we had scrambled eggs and bacon for lunch and then I went out with the little mutt to read. That sun was hot! Gibbs settled down in the shade a couple of times before we came inside. Ken and Nancy popped over to confirm a place for supper tonight, and we settled on a time and place before they left.

I'll never see this puzzle done but I wasn't here long
enough for it to worm it's way into my ♥ anyway
At least I fixed the border for the next puzzlers

Gibbs would not settle down the whole time they were here and that is frustrating, as rather than contribute to the conversation, I found I was more involved with keeping him calm. Well, trying to. Of course, after they left, he crashed on the floor and slept. Isn’t that just the way? Good thing we love him so much! Haha! I worked on my blog and Bill went for a snooze.

Gibbs is not a sun person like Clemson was πŸ’•

Down our street, someone got a
motorcycle dropped off

The sun setting on the mountains
Always a beautiful sight

Ken pulled up just as we were walking out of our site. The restaurant was Boston’s Sports Restaurant in Casa Grande and we were glad we had our jackets/sweaters with us. They had a/c on running pretty much full blast and we settled at a table for 4. We had a nice little waitress who made the whole visit pleasant. After ordering drinks, Nancy asked for an appetizer of flat breads along with spinach and artichoke dip. It was yummy!

A yummy appetizer

My supper

For my entrΓ©e, I ordered the Baked Lasagna and it was wonderful. I could only eat half so the remainder came home in a doggie bag. 😊 Our friends wouldn’t let us help pay for the meal tonight, so we thanked them for the lovely evening out. It’s all we could do. Gibbs was happy to see us at 7 and he’d done a fine job of looking after the house. This was another great day ending with a wonderful dinner.

When we camped together in our first years of meeting,
at Silver Lake, MI we always ate out on our last night
Tonight was like that
Thank you Ken and Nancy for the great week! πŸ’–πŸ’–
Good night!

Thank you for your visit.

  2. So nice of Ken and Nancy to show you nice places in the area. It's such a nice park and good that Gibbs could have a run in the dog park. Safe drive to your next destination.

  5. Had a nice slow day I see. If we didn't love our little friends so much we would leave them home πŸ˜ƒ

  7. Ah..Baked Lasagna...I'm drooling...Had a special place in Seattle that did the best, along with pizza etc....No longer there, too many negative waves in that city anymore...
"E" me some please?....I was able to make their's last 3 meals...
