Taking it Slow on Sunday

The Ridge

Today, Sunday, July 11th I knew it would be a slower day – for me, at least. We slept in until 7:30 after Gibbs joined us upstairs. I felt that I could have slept longer after last night’s 11 o’clock bedtime (really! I can’t believe that is late for us) but I had to clean the Mat and do our laundry this morning. It was 8:15 when I headed into town.

The other night when I was watching tv in the bedroom
I snapped this picture
Worth sharing, I think

The laundromat was empty with one washer running when I arrived so I made quick work of getting our 2 loads in and began cleaning. By the time I left, there were 3 more arrivals. I damp mopped and slipped out an hour later. Because the sky is cloudy and the forecast calling for ‘possible’ showers, I used the dryers and left with clean, folded clothes. 😊 No fresh air drying today.

I had a breakfast quesadilla
Bill had his omelette in a bun

Back home, Gibbs and Bill were inside together. There were things Bill thought of doing but didn’t want to put the little guy on his leash while he disappeared into the Hangar. I had pictures to download from yesterday, I took a lot but some are from Bill’s project so will put those on a stick for him to use. It was late morning when I finally finished posting my blog for Saturday.

This is a very different little Gibbs
We love it, but it is just different 💕

At noon, we had breakfast omelettes and did dishes after. I’d learned of a different stain remover from my niece so mixed some up for a few grease stains on some tops that I’ve resorted to wearing just around home. If it works, I’ll let you know tomorrow. Then I sat down and sent an email out to our friends who usually join us for a campout while Bill and Gibbs went up for their snooze. Gibbs full well knows the word now and heads for the stairs on cue. 😊

A few summer tops with a little stain
so I tried out the homemade paste

The rest of our day was even lazier. I did vacuum the Suite before lunch so that was out of the way and then instead of reading, I pulled my cross stitch over to the table. I concentrated on it for a couple of hours until it was time for supper. Mini sausages and fries for Bill and I had mixed veggies and keto biscuits with my sausages. It was topped off, of course, with pie. With dishes done, we sat for the evening and watched some tv.

I found a little doggie t-shirt and put it on
our little 12.2 oz puppy
I should have found it 2 months ago!

Of course, I took it off and got rid of it 😂

Gibbs has not been himself today, so we’re wondering if he is still dragging from yesterday like we are! He’s not sick but he is sleeping a lot, sitting on our laps more and has yet to run around the island! 😊 I’ll keep an eye on him tomorrow. This has been a nice quiet day which is perfect for a Sunday, isn’t it?

Supper was good and just the right amount
Good night!

Thank you for stopping in to share it with us.

  1. Every so often Cooper gets a tummy ache and acts the same way. No idea why. Hopefully Gibbs perks up soon. It's always so terrible to know they don't feel well.

    1. Thanks, we think it was just tired but who knows? They can't tell us in any other way, can they? He's back to normal, it seems. ;)

  2. I always found that puppies are like little kids they don't know when they've had enough of a good thing. He is a precious little thing!

  3. Maybe Gibbs chewed on too many wood chips and his tummy is a bit upset. Hope he's feeling better today. He's such a cutie!
