Gibbs and Daddy, Visitors and Just Lazing About

La Posa South, Quartzsite, Az
Let's start out today with my favourite saguaros in the desert. On Wednesday, Jan. 19th there wasn’t much going on. Nothing at all on the schedule, actually. There is a family birthday today, although he isn’t ‘officially’ our son-in-law, we love him enough to consider him a member. ♥ Chris, we hope you have an absolutely amazing day!
Happy Birthday, Chris! Gibbs and I went for a walk late, because it was a ‘stay in bed and cuddle’ day. Trust me, when I say that, that doesn’t mean just Bill and I. We think Clemson’s spirit of getting right in the middle has transferred on down to this little monster. Don’t even try to get serious, we just have to laugh at him.♥ Good thing we have a door to the bedroom! 😊
Bill and I saw this pump truck yesterday when we went to town. It's parked beside the outhouse. Good to know they look after these buildings as well!
We were one road over from the Desert Golf course. This must be the 18th hole. Fore!
Don't bother holding these guys up. They don't have any arms. However, they do stand tall together. :) Our walk was about 8:15 and for about 25 minutes. Such a gorgeous morning again with a clear blue sky and a forecast of 69F/21C expected. There was a slight breeze that picked up around 11 but it was very welcome. A fun thing happened this morning on our walk. Just round the curve near the saguaros we both noticed a couple walking two pompoms ♥. That’s what they look like, so small and fluffy.
I thought it was cute how Bill got a taste of Gibbs' cuddles while trying to work on the laptop. Gibbs stopped and then approached them. That was when the man called over and asked if I was Patsy. 😊 Too cute! He follows mine and other blogger’s travels so it was great that he spoke. Bill and Janet, nice to meet you! Back home, after our first cup of brew, Bill and I spent more time inside this morning than we like messing with our printer. Sometimes printing and scanning something is easy as pie. Other times, the air can be blue with our frustration over it.
We got a call yesterday while at the laundromat from our new doctor from London. They couldn’t find our previous applications that we sent by Royal mail so we were filling them in and scanning them back via email this time. Finally, it all worked and we were good to go. We sat outside with Nancy until Doug texted that he was in the area and ‘where were we?’ Nancy gave him directions and soon he and Yuma pulled up in their Jeep.
No words other than "I just love this little performer so much!" It was nice to see them again and though he only stayed a short while, Yuma and Gibbs got reacquainted (from a respectable distance), we made plans to get together again. Tom joined us briefly too and after he left, Bill and I came inside for a bit to eat. I’d skipped breakfast this morning so the toast and honey and cheese on the side filled the gap. 😊
Hi Yuma! Hi Gibbs! I know I mentioned yesterday that I dust mopped the floors (or did I?) but I also took my Norwex window cloths out to Black Beauty and gave her windows a good cleaning, inside and out. The chrome and lights also got cleaned up. She’s happy now for a day or two. I’ve only been talking about doing that for a month! I know it won’t last long but it was bugging me and I did it before it got hot. She parks in the shade of the Suite.
Nice to see these guys today! I sat outside for a bit longer with Gibbs but it was quite hot and I was feeling droopy. I was too distracted with goings on (like the pooch gets) so came back in and managed another long chapter in the new book. Bill went upstairs to watch some tv and we discussed supper. Hmm, since we ate at 2, we’d have something simple and easy. Maybe soup.
We had an uneventful sunset tonight. It did get brighter pink later. Thinking about food as well as hearing about when this ‘party’ may break up, I messaged everyone about supper at Silly Al’s tomorrow night. It seems like 5 of us are game and we’ll hope Deb feels better so they can join us. We wanted to get there before the big RV show/Rally starts on Saturday. Where did the time go? We should have another quiet day tomorrow until then so I might bake something in the early hours. We’ll see.
An uneventful supper too. Bill had a bacon sandwich. We will watch some tv tonight, Good Sam is a new doctor show this season and so far, we are enjoying it. This was a great lazy day, it was nice to see another boondocking friend from down the road.
Keeping the steps warm. ♥ Good night everyone! Thank you for stopping by!
