Hump Day and Heat Day

Thursday, Mar. 2^nd arrived and at 7:30, it was above 50F/10C. Another great morning for our walk, no jackets for either of us, just a hoody for me. 😊 

The desert is quiet this morning

4 small planes flew over as we walked
The first one, that I missed, was really low
I couldn't see these through the camera lens
so I'm surprised I got them at all

Bill left to go flying and Gibbs and I spent a couple of hours together before I went over to work on the puzzle. That was 9:30 and boy did 66F/19C ever feel hot! There was no wind so Bill would be having a good flying morning.

We didn't do great regardless

We both returned home around 11:30 and I made bacon and eggs for lunch today. Gibbs did a lot of barking today for some reason, yesterday he seemed to have listened to Bill much better. ☹ 

We sat outside together while he charged his batteries again, it’s something he has to do after each day flying. Being prepared for the next day. I went back to the clubhouse at 1 and was finished it by 2. Another one bites the dust.

I sat inside with my sweeties and delved into the new book. This one is called The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. Just like the last one, it’s different and yet by the end of the first chapter, I was hooked.

Inside, we tried to relax but it was pretty warm
No wonder with this 23 lb. lug on me!

When the air inside the Suite was 89F/32C and the outside temp was the same, I decided I had to go out. At least there was a breeze outside. 😊 It will be hotter tomorrow, so they say, so the a/c will be set to come on first thing.

This was a fun one.

For supper, we agreed on bacon cheeseburgers so we didn’t have to cook indoors. As always, they were wonderful. This was a new box of 100% sirloin burgers and their thickness is what we look for. 

With the dishwasher running, we are truly spoiled now by not having to do dishes, we relaxed for the night. We had a program on the PVR to watch and I worked on my blog while it played.

When I sat outside with Gibbs, where it was cooler with a breeze,
all he did was pine for Daddy inside

I read this as a yes. LOL😂

This was a great day, we are enjoying the heat and right now, don’t have a care in the world. 😊  

When we walked this morning, this
semi had pulled out of the Arco station
and had a problem
He needed a tow which took about an hour to get him
off the highway.
