Yuma Lakes RV Resort
On Sunday, Nov. 13th arrives and we were up by 7:30. I was feeling quite comfy snuggled down under the covers when Bill and Gibbs got up for their morning constitution. At the same time, when I saw Bill was getting up shortly after 7, I followed suit. I don’t like wasting a morning.

After getting dressed for the weather, it was only 37F/3C, with long sleeves and my new jacket, Gibbs and I went for a nice walk. It was going to warm up nicely and the clear sunny sky was telltale of that. Back home, I had tea and some cereal with Bill. The confusion came about when I dressed to go into Yuma for groceries. Bill didn’t seem to be getting ready and as it turned out, we got our wires crossed.
Interesting tree At this point, the whole back section is empty
He was thinking we weren’t going anywhere today. Woops! That’s okay, the groceries can wait until tomorrow and laundry, which I was going to do tomorrow can wait until Tuesday. 😉 Knowing that, at 10 I walked up to work in the puzzle until noon hour.
|It's a tough puzzle, but I'm getting there|
Back home, we had Cinnamon rolls for lunch and then I dressed for the pool. No one was there and although the wind felt a bit cool, the water was lovely.
|I love the heated pool|
but I seldom use the hot tub
After a float around on a park provided noodle, I found the best spot out of the breeze to stretch out with my book. I knew Bill would be reading back home so didn’t return to our site until 3. More reading and fitting in a walk for the little gapher, before we started prepping supper. Bill grilled our pork kabobs and inside I cooked us each a vegetable. You may have noticed that Bill and I have very different tastes for veggies, it’s just one of those things! 😆

After loading the dishwasher, I worked on my blog and then delved into my book again. It is another good story, David Baldacci’s Redemption, and I’m enjoying it very much. This was a great day, doing even more things that I love. ♥
The sun is going down
and our neighbour is enjoying it on his patio
I'm loving the asparagus We finished supper off with ice cream for dessert
Thank you for the visit.
Surprising it was much chiller down south this morning. We hit 43. Nice not to have to go anywhere. Swimming outside in mid-November. Can't beat that.ReplyDelete
One of the best things about this life style is, for the most part, no schedule. Things can easily be put off and a day becomes available to just enjoy living and doing whatever you feel like. We are so lucky to be living our dream.ReplyDelete
You are absolutely right about that! I am thankful for our blessings everyday too.Delete
I'm surprised no one is there yet. Seems to be they should be packed with people by now. Nice clubhouse and pool. I'd be in the hot tub all day!!!ReplyDelete
I thought it was early but maybe not. No one seems to go to the pool this early but I'm from Canada! hahaDelete
The hot tub dries me out so I tend to avoid it.
Brrrr...that's quite chilly for that part of the world, isn't it? The joy of retirement, no where to go and all day to get there. :)ReplyDelete
Well maybe a bit below. I think 50F would be more normal. It is winter here as well though and it doesn't take long to warm up to the 70's. 😉Delete
I love the pool area, and the club house is magnificent. Enjoy your time there.ReplyDelete
Like the new coat as well.
Thank you Jackie. It is very nice here. My jacket is perfect for the cool mornings. :)Delete
Lovely park! The clubhouse looks awesome to spend some time, along with the pool! Enjoy while there's no one there! :)ReplyDelete
Thank you Shirley, It is nice to have the pool area all to myself. ;)Delete
