March is Zipping By!

Park Place RV Resort

On Monday, Mar. 14th Bill went flying after Gibbs and I got back from our morning walk. And the day is warm already! Soon, it won’t be necessary to wear a jacket. 😊 I slept really well last night although Bill had to shake me awake from a bad dream at one point. Strange things go through our heads in the wee hours, eh?

Good morning!

I had my tea and today not only added my coconut oil but also some collagen powder. It can’t hurt this aging skin or hair at all to add more to my system. I transferred the leftover chili into 3 containers for 3 or 4 meals on the road and then walked over at 10:15 to the puzzle with my coffee. We turned the a/c on this morning set at 78F/25C because that is a temperature that we are both comfy with.

That was a tiring walk, Mom.

I accomplished a bit on the puzzle but it is one of the more difficult ones I’ve worked on. That’s good for the brain and eyes, isn’t it? 😊 I saw Bill’s truck home at 11:30 and hear Gibbs barking his head off so I wandered back to the site. Bill was across the road talking to a neighbour, hence Gibbs’ being upset. “What about me, Dad?” We sat outside for a while; the winds had increased as they seem to do but they felt good.

It was pleasant outside in the shade

We each had our own kind of sandwich at lunch and when we heard that Ted and Sue were popping back for a bit more assistance on her phone app  I was glad we had the a/c set so it would be comfortable. Bill got her set up and she was more comfortable with opening it and using it herself. She will need to be able to open it up quickly at the border to show them her results etc.

Finally, I had the opportunity to spread my afghan out
and get a picture.
I still need to tuck the ends in but I'm pleased!
thanks again, Deb!

Poor Gibbs was outside on his long rope but he behaved very well, hardly any barking at all. It isn’t easy to do stuff like that with a puppy dog distraction. 😊 After they left around 2:30 or so, I went to work on the puzzle while the boys had snoozes. Gibbs hasn’t eaten much today; something seems to have him without an appetite but he isn’t sick. Maybe it was the rawhide bone from yesterday, the one we took away from him first thing today.

It's a slow going

For supper, we had loaded bacon cheeseburgers and you know what we think about those. With the dishwasher set to go, we watched NCIS: Hawaii at 7. Our regular NCIS and The Cleaning lady are recording to watch after this. It is nice not to have commercials during these programs.  This was a great day and let me tell you that the HEAT IS ON, with temperatures in the mid 80's for the next few days. Hey, already we’re looking at the Ides of March, tomorrow!

Yummy
Good night!

Thank you for popping in.

  3. Gibbs is the cutest little guy. I know how attached you must be, been there. Ha
Our Vet told us the raw hide bones are hard on their digestion.
I guess it’s true. At that point we switched to Milk Bones.
Hope your feeling better and the shingles are better.

    1. Thank you Linda A. I should have avoided the rawhide bone but when he was fine after the first day, I thought he was old enough. Now, Momma has learned. :( I am trying to find things that he can chew on that he loves and yet lasts. I've only bought him soft milk bones for when we leave him home alone. He has all kinds of 'good' treats but eats them so fast.
Thank you, I'm feeling back to normal until the next batch! haha

  7. Good job on the afghan and it will warm you on cold days. That puzzle will keep you occupied for a bit longer by the looks of it, but that is the purpose of them, you know. The rest of the month will fly by just as fast, I think. Don't rush home, its still cold there.
